01 The resort

Not a hotel with a pool.

Four places at one address, and you can fill a whole day without repeating any of them. That is how Mirante became a fixed stop for anyone driving Ceará’s east coast.

The resort opened in 2001 to answer something Aracati already had and could not yet handle: visitors worth looking after. It grew by adding — rooms first, then the park, the restaurant and the auditorium.

It works both ways now. Guests get the water park at their front door. People who live nearby come to spend a Sunday and drive home at dusk.

02 Water park

The loud part.

Nobody asks for quiet here. The park is why most families come — and why they come back the following year.

An adult pool and a children’s pool, slides in both sizes, jet toys, a swim-up bar so nobody has to leave the water, and the waterfall at the far end. Children learn their way around in ten minutes and stop needing anyone.

  • Adult slide

A long drop, a tight bend and a landing straight into the big pool.

  • Children’s slide

Low and wide, for anyone still working up to it.

  • Adult pool

A broad stretch of water, with loungers and shade around it.

  • Children’s pool

Shallow, with jet toys, a slide and figures painted on the floor.

  • Swim-up bar

A counter in the water. No need to dry off to order.

  • Waterfall

A stone wall and falling water at the pool’s edge.

03 Rooms

Five ways to stay.

All of them with a porch, a hammock already strung and the park a short walk away. What separates them is the size of the family and how much bathtub you want.

Apartments sit in the two-storey block; chalets are spread through the garden. The superior chalets have double-height ceilings and a wrought-iron spiral stair, with the upstairs suite kept separate from the rest of the house.
